Most patients are covered by medical insurance which will pay for surgical procedures. If your insurance company does not pay the entire fee, you are responsible for paying the remainder. Whether or not your insurance company pays all, only a portion, or nothing on your bill is a matter between you and the company and is something we cannot control. If you have a question regarding your insurance payment policy you should contact them directly.
We file all insurance claims with plans that we participate with. We will bill your insurance company for fees incurred with services rendered. However, you are expected to pay any co-insurance, co-pays, and/or deductible amounts at the time service is rendered. All patients with Health Savings Accounts and high deductible health plans should make arrangements in advance of service. In this manner, we can all cooperate to keep the cost of medical care under control.
We are participants with Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans, Railroad Medicare, UMWA, United Healthcare, BlueCross of TN PPO/Select, Out of State BlueCross, Anthem Virginia BlueCross, Champus (not prime provider), Aetna, Highlands Physician Health Network, Integrated Solution Health Network, Humana, USA, Beech Street, Evolutions, First Health, NPPN, and others. Insurances requiring a referral MUST be received prior to your appointment. This is the patients’ responsibility to ensure that this has been received. If our office does not receive the referral before your appointment you will be rescheduled. If you have questions concerning our contracts or policies, our billing personnel are available to answer your questions.
